  2. Yeah i'm not exactly sure whats going on there to be honest
  3. Chainsaw trousers are a hazard in themselves in the heat IMO. Is it worth taking the risk not wearing them though?
  4. In case anyone missed this in the thread last week, there is now a new version of the arbtalk app available. For Android users this should have updated automatically for you already. For iphone users however you will need to download a brand new version of the app from the following link https://siteowners.tapatalk.com/byo/displayAndDownloadByoApp?rid=73363

  10. You obviously haven't seen what forums/Facebook groups descend to without some level of moderation. Not something I'm interested in being part of thanks, nor are many others. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  11. Would seem the obvious answer. People mention sneezing and wheezing...personally when I work on these trees I am coughing my guts up to the point of literally gagging. Absolutely hate the stuff.
  12. Yep it is now a free app. The options for me have changed since I initially set up the app. It is now financially feasible to offer it as a free app as its only costing me $10 a month rather than the $40 a month it was previously costing. Notifications should now work as all the updates are taken care of by a third party. With the previous option I had to take care of the updates myself, and itunes is an absolute nightmare to work with. It would literally take me 4-5 hours just to submit a new version of an app. Speaking of notiifcations, you should receive one for me quoting your post here
  13. Congratulations on one of the most disturbing arbtalk avatars ever
  14. My first car was a datsun cherry as it happens, one of the sporty numbers with the vinyl roof. Like this one but in red
  15. As if you're even old enough to know what a Datsun is!!!
  16. Couldn't agree more on this. I couldn't think of anything worse than my kids doing this for a living. Thankfully I think its highly unlikely that would happen anyway
  17. If you didn't want the wood for firewood how come you saved so much? Looks to be plenty of wood in that heap that would have gone through a 6" chipper easily enough!
  18. Seen them before, never knew them as cornish shovels though. What makes them cornish exactly?
  19. Finished off a macrocarpa today. Pretty decent sized butt. That's an 880 with 42" bar in the pic Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  20. I will announce this properly later Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  21. Android users, your version is also imminent, but should update your current version automatically, with no need to delete your current version Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
