    cheers. The free wood chips site has already bought in loads of new listings, so making one targeting the 'free firewood' keywords was a no brainer really.

    Not so much of relevance to people here, but I just made a new site to help promote free firewood listings in the arbtalk tip site directory. This is aimed at the general public rather than members here....but I need the link juice as its a brand new site

    its not reasonable. Sometimes the stance of local authorities can be a bit much. I probably wouldn't have used the leaves making a mess as any kind of justification though, ever.

    Acer Negundo, Box Elder. Never burned it myself but its a Maple so I would imagine it burns like most other Maples...well.

    Agreed, not the pruning. Had to zoom in just to see the pruning cuts. It was a good job as far as that part of the story went

    What Mark said, don't waste your time getting one here. When they first came out they were great, then the changed the law limiting them to 5(something or other, forget how they are measured..maybe mah) which is next to useless.

    Really need some images of waste timber tipped up, in a driveway or similar. I did put out a request via email to all the tip site owners in the directory, but it seems its too much to ask for a photo in exchange for all the free chips and timber people are getting. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. preferably high-quality photos. email to [email protected]

    It is steel cable. The rods I were referring to were eye rods through the trunk for anchoring the wire
