This is an own goal by The Russians.

Terribly stage managed interview.

They couldn’t look more like agents plus the carefully trotted out Wikipedia facts about Salisbury. (Height of spire, oldest working clocks etc.)

The British side must be opening the champagne as we speak.

Are you saying they probably shouldn't have worn their GRU t-shirts then?

Lets have a little consensus of opinion....

For arguments sake, lets say you're a Russian national with a couple of days to spare, a wad of cash to blow and the option of a return plane ticket to LHR...

Where would you go as first choice and where in the ranking of all UK city break options would you place Salisbury?

For my money, I'd likely hit Covent Garden and China Town pretty hard on the Friday, catch a big fry up Saturday morning and mooch over to Richmond / Twickenham to catch a Quins game, then see where the night takes it.  Round it all off with a session at the Church on Sunday afternoon then catch the red eye express back to Moscow with a raging hangover.

Salisbury....  not even with the world famous clock, wouldn't feature anywhere in that agenda.

And two trips on to Salisbury, they would have liked to get there earlier on Sunday i guess, but Sunday train times. No time for the Raymond Revue Bar or whatever its called now
