Bit hard to ' social distance' in a shitty Zodiac, fleeing Syria, i would probably take my chances..... Even if its beach landing front of Stubby with his loaded 410 in his slippers  ( he'd fucking miss anyway !) ? K

Trouble is, mate. We are guilty of that also, back when.  Have been out to places where they come from an it aint pretty. Its not legal wot they do but desperate people n everything. K

Maybe but 99% of them are mid 20s male's that could of stayed there to help there families but no, just ran away leaving the real young and old to suffer.

The thing is the young men come over, get their foot in the door then bring their family and extended family over at a later date.

Fair play the natives can be a bit stand-off-ish and aloof at times (to use a sweeping generalisation), but the food, the countryside, the beaches, the culture and the climate more than compensate for the occasional Gallic shrug.... 

 

These feckers are obviously resourceful, determined and ingenious - maybe they’d be better sourcing an old bicycle, a beret, a stripy shirt and a string of onions rather than jumping on a li-lo and embarking upon a life threatening sea passage. 

 

If Dempsey and Cropper have chosen to hang their hats there it can’t be all bad!
