I see that Two Tier is going to introduce compulsory ID cards in the near future to stop illegal immigration and workers etc. What a joke, they haven't the stones to do this!

Probably not a bad thing, the Conservatives ditched the idea but I don't see any real issues, if you consider that most of us have a passport, a driving license, are on the electoral role, have a phone that logs our location 24 hours a day, our earnings are known, all benefits we get are in the system, hospital and medical records, mortgages and loans, and of course the social media that we fill up often with drivel. It isn't as is any of us are living under the radar as it might be.

 

So having another card, no big issue... Unless you arn't entitled to use the UK and its systems then it might be an issue.

 

We are all old men generally, certainly grumpy enough to be, with even older parents... who are generally giving up their driving and foreign holidays - a real benefit to them to have some sort of ID. On the flip side, generally not old enough to have ditched any kids and perhaps remember them setting off in life, no drivers licenses and not always a passport, again a real benefit to the young.
