The UK Labour government is under pressure to reaffirm its commitment to the energy...

Absolute madness, UK is the laughing stock of the industrialised nations. 

Current path for the UK is an energy deficient nation reliant on others for oil and gas shipped in from all over the planet, all whilst we sit on our own natural resources. Look to Norway for an example of pragmatism. 
Meanwhile in the rest of the world!!!!

It's actually more of a silage desert round here. Hence all the nitrate rich slurry being sprayed about ( in an already slightly more controlled manner...)

I appreciate your sentiment though and yes in some areas I think regenerative agriculture is proving effective economically as well as for soils, carbon, biodiversity. All still v fragmented on a national scale though.

As long as we outsource all the work to foreign companies it will be another big win for London, sorry, the UK.

A point of interest, it's 5 years since the UK left the EU... those new bright sunny heartlands... 350millions to the NHS, fishermen catching all our fish in our sovereign waters (and not just mackerel), seamless exports to the EU (but restrictions on their imports), massive profitable trade deals with the rest of the world (but none to the EU), UK citizens travel to Europe as before (but they are limited to travel here), immigration levels falling, home grown doctors falling over themselves to work, nurses coming out of our ears, leading the world in everything, the world being our oyster (as long as the oysters are taken from the River Severn, that sounds about right). All because we don't like the Belgians.

 

5 years of unrivalled growth (spell checker humour wanted this to be unravelled). This time next year we'll be millionaires.
