My view; there was no plan B and there was no ability within the team to think for themselves when the one and only game plan wasn't working.

2007 rugby World Cup when the French knocked the ABs out it was well documented here that the ABs had no plan B and weren't confident on changing the A game out on the field. Graham Henry changed his tactics and gave his players the ability to adapt in game and basically think for themselves rather than await his instruction. On top of that, Hodgson was a mediocre coach at best. Time for a massive shake up.
