Nothing particularly hard to be honest, I'm just not feeling it at the moment. I've lost all fluidity, and yes I expected that to happen....but even so I can't see it will ever be as fluid a technique as Ddrt. There is always going to be stopping and starting, faffing around attaching ascenders etc etc.

I will try the freeclimb technique you mention tomorrow.

I see your point. It certainly doesn't feel as fluid. It's frustrating having to stop and clip in ascenders. Feels like time that could be spend moving on ddrt.

I had to force myself to stop and make sure I wasn't rushing. Almost take it back a notch.the ascents are so fast though and effortless.

I think my chest harness isn't ideal, don't like the idea of the neck tethers though. I'm amazed they haven't been classified a safety hazard to be honest.

I don't like the idea much either but have never got it caught just found it the least restrictive , you don't even know it's there. The fluidity thing comes though but don't know if I will be as fluid as the VT and rope guide as we are older than when we got on that like .. Just a lot less knackered at the end of the day. Big swings ,There is another thing that is a lot easier on a single rope , I recon the future SRT climbers will be doing mad things , work climb records at comps will be smashed and some crazy videos !
