No, Im torn between a tr75 and a rebak 80 & 130. At first it was cost, now its CE standards.

Could I ask the rough prices you had? I am tempted by a branch logger type machine but I doubt I could justify more than a £2k spend.

From the H&S perspective I think it would have to be owner operator use.

Apologies for asking the no-brained question but do you mean that you think TR70 chunks would be very good or very bad in a log boiler?

I'd have thought they'd be very good but I've heard gassifiers can be fussy with size and shape of material so am prepared to be surprised (I am aware that a log boiler is not necessarily a gassifier).

Good. Even better in an RHI install as you can sell the logs that you would have otherwise have had to burn. Double bubble and no waste. :001_smile:

It would be perfect for the willow I have to process but cheaper to stack them all in my log stand and buzz through them with a chainsaw

Another question if you don't mind, Marko. Do you chog the whole branch and sieve the twigs out or are you putting non-twiggy material through in the first place? Do you burn just lumps or all the way down to the twiggy bits?

i would like to see how much smoke it makes whilst burning this stuff i tried small stuff in my boiler and it smoked pretty bad i think it gasified to easily and too quickly

The difference in presentation is amazing ,if you dont put twiggy material through the brancher.

With twigs its like a crows nest

without twigs its like nice mini logs and looks really marketable.

Twiggy stuff is ok for own use,but takes up more storage space
