When people baulk at paying for...

If I go out tomorrow an buy a twenty thousand pound woodchippper, does that mean I should charge two grand for a two hundred pound job?...

After all I've invested in machinery and surely every new customer should help me pay for it...

Or, should I charge the same knowing I'll get the job done quicker with my new piece of kit...

same with that idiot charging a fortune for a slice of lemon...

If she/they had any sense, they'd make their money on their reputation for good service and good food.

Not on ripping off customers who walk through the door...

I agree, Its a sad day when you can't have a cup of water, warm or cold, i dont buy all that about the 3 minutes for the dishes either, they all washed in dishwasher,

If they charged me for water i wouldn't go there again out of principle, we all know the feeling of having something for nothing once in a while. I wouldn't charge for water and i dont expect to be charged either.

And they are all free, and so is the detergent and the electric to run them, they are also self loading and they stack the cleaned pots as well ............................No wait

You are been selective.

The glass in question is washed alongside probably hundreds of other pieces of cutlery, so the actual cost is niether here or there,

Do you charge your customers for quoting for work after they have asked you to take a look? Or is it all part of the job.?

I often do small extras for free, in reality they cost me very little, but the goodwill they can generate is priceless IMO.

You're not wrong there Dave, i can generally smell free loaders a mile off and they dont get too much for nothing off me, but the genuine ones are a different kettle of fish and we will do small add-ons if i feel its appreciated.
