Washing chainsaw trousers

she still insists that everyone she has talked to would not wash chainsaw trousers in their machine.

That's all well and good her mates saying that, but how many of them have ever actually had to wash a pair?

Mine usually go in with the rest of my grotty work jackets/sweatshirts etc on a 50 degree wash and never had any bother with making the washer dirty.

If she digs her heels in, shove a dog bed through the washer - then she'll know about a mucky washer

If they're properly minging (and let's face it they will be), give them a good shaking outside to lose the dust, then hose the worst of the grime off.

Then wash them, and wash some less skanky items afterwards.

Trust me on this, I've been married nearly ten years, a couple of them happily.

i am banned from washing machine, but other half washes mine no bother.

i do get the blame for 11 washing machine deaths in 19 years.....

Bloody hell, that must take some doing, ours is 29 years old now

Thanks for all your replies lads but she still insists that everyone she has talked to would not wash chainsaw trousers in their machine. Just have to do it when she goes out or asleep and not leave them around drying

Yes, mine go in the machine, I just empty the chip from the pockets - on program No3 - normal wash.

if theyre really bad - prewash in a 30 litre bucket
