It's a brazer as said above, I have a slightly more modern electric one and make my own blades up. A lot cheaper buying rolls of blade.

Aspenarb probably just searched it after being told what it was like I did, and was about to post same pic aspen did!

How does brazing a band compare with welding one?

 

I've never been confident about my own welding but was always amazed at how the bands on the 54" and 36" Stenner performed.
