Political views, religious views and chainsaws are all personal preference, we're all allowed our views whether you agree or disagree it doesn't matter, when you get personal and start name calling you have lost. Some folk on here are getting a bit carried away. Now I'm off to wash the Bentley.

I would have thought you had a man who does that

Can I just make the point to all the UKIP supporting, immigrants are to blame for everything, vocal voices on this thread...

You are nothing more than the winner of a genetic lottery, you have achieved nothing extraordinary by being born to British parents, it was not your skill or superior intelligence that allowed you to live in a first world country with all the benefits that this brings,

And yet a lot of you have the nerve to bang on about others having a 'sense of entitlement'.

It really is quite laughable.

On a totally unrelated note i'm reminded of a famous quote..... 'Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience'

Unfortunately the problem lies in what people see or deal with first hand ,the worse violence and crimes varying from drug dealing to theft seem to be carried out by ... At best can be described as ethnic minority's so you can't really blame people for having an opinion... I read an interesting article about an Iranian doctor who's daughter was beside her self that he voted for ukip because as a doctor in a hospital he could see first hand health tourism and was disgusted the way other migrants came to the UK and refused to integrate in to our society which was some thing he made very clear bringing his children up was important, I think he had some very valid points.

I know, but when coupled with his other posts on this thread, it implies he is giving weight to the person he is quoting. I'm just wary of new members posting controversially, posting exclusively on controversial threads. It's not a productive way of integrating into a community.

Well the person I quoted discovered DNA, he received a Nobel prize for doing it. You seem a smart person, I presume you know what a Nobel prize is?

To be frank I think I'd have to be absolutely stupid not to give weight to what a Nobel prize winner says about his specialist field....

It's fairly well known that races are physically different. For instance Africans are brilliant 100m runners, but whites are better at swimming. Is it really that crazy that the races have different levels of intelligence?

Look at the quote, he's implying that our approach to Africa is wrong, if we changed our approach to Africa and it reduced the amount of suffering would that not be a good thing? Or do we just have to accept pictures of starving children on our telly for ever more?

This from my local rag yesterday - perfect example of what you've posted.

Seems to be a plentiful supply of future MP's on here, based on the amount of pointless spouting on subjects not connected to the original subject and biased opinions with no basis is in fact :laugh1: Its over you cast your vote and who you voted for either did or did'nt win, fact of life, you can't please all the people all the time.

I disagree. The differences at the top of the sports you mention are minute (which is obviously all it takes in sport to win) and much of who is successful in a given sport is down to cultural influences.

Either way, to summarise your viewpoint thus far, I think it would be fair to say you believe that immigrants are a bunch of HIV riddled, low intelligence benefit scroungers. You cannot be surprised when you are met with hostility if you try to open a debate as to whether people of African descent are fundamentally thicker than everyone else. Have you perhaps considered the possibility that given the day to day struggles of living in poverty don't allow a huge amount of time for winning Nobel prizes?

The next time you watch the Olympics look at the races that win the track events and look at the people in the swim events. Jamaicans are brilliant at 100m track events (did they not win the top three places in the last Olympics?). Is that really down to cultural differences or genetics?

Obviously not all immigrants have HIV etc. But would it not be good if we never allowed people into the UK that were going to be a drain to us?

To turn the tables, do you have any evidence that all ethnic groups are the same? Why are some countries like Russia and the US able to build rockets that can fly people into space, and then some countries need help to dig wells? This idea that all the races are equal does not seem to be reflected in what I see in the world....

Wow!!

That was a very interesting and occasionally astonishing catch up. I sincerely hope that some of the sentiments expressed are just done for show.

Eggs is probably right in saying that if confronted face to face the offending arguments would quickly crumble.

Do you not think that the advantages that we in the west have are a lot to do with where we were to be born? We are lucky to be in a part of the world which suffers no extremes of weather or major diseases so from birth we are at an advantage compared to someone born say in sub Saharan Africa.
