Log Goblins have been to my stack . Looks like about a transit load of Maple rings taken .  Hope they don't come back .

I had a fella walk into the back garden of one of my customers carrying his own chainsaw. Confused the hell out of me. Firstly he offered to help and be payed in logs.
Secondly his saw had a fault and asked me if I could service it on the job...

I thought he knew the customer and the customer thought he knew me really confusing situation.

The logs were being dumped anyway (4 small cherry) so to saved me the work I left them on the drive and he collected that night and left his phone number with the customer so I could call him to my next job... 🤔

They will, they always do. Some years back at a previous abode, I had a couple of oak cord. Passerbys on the bridleway, would open the gate, walk through the garden and help themselves to split firewood, so they could have an illegal campfire on a nearby National Trust campsite. I eventually put a terse sign pointing out the error of their ways and it ceased for a few month. Then one afternoon, some scroats came by and stole 2cu m of seasoned ash-birch. They even took the charred remains of the previous night's BBQ. Must have had van or trailer and my neighbours were all in work.
