Hi all,

There seems to be a lot of 'pipe & slippers' apathy here when it comes to middle age, over 50 is not old - Ive often said 'old age' is a fleeting moment before death.

Anyway, recently toured the Medoc region by bike with my O/H and four others, at 56 I was second youngest & oldest 63.

In 8 & a half days we cycled 837 Km which is just over 500 miles & have every intention of a similar trip next year.

Guess I'm a proby, 50 in Nov this year. Aches and pains...pah! Backs good, legs good, hands good and head good. Can still see, can still see me toes without a mirror, had a slight medical blip a couple of years ago resulting in bowel removal but that just means I can't crap myself when I get old.
