Bloody fox!

There is no way the police will issue an FAC on the grounds you intend to use it in a built up area.

I've seen a black cat, about the size of my lab, broad daylight.

Loads of keepers I know have seen similar, but everyone seems scared of publicity or ridicule, so keep quiet.

Looks like I may have an excuse to get a .22 rifle although I'm guessing the neighbours may have a heart attack! What license to I need? I'm a good shot with an air rifle but obviously that is no where near powerful enough for a fox.

12 bore Brenneke would stop one !

Stop an elephant too......

Gotta say trying to kill a fox with a U.K. Legal 22 lb air rifle is immoral and inhumane. I know sod all about fire arms, yet this is obvious to me.

Jon I enjoy the majority of your posts mate, but this seems beneath you.

To be honest and regardless of the morality (you can't convince me that it is safe for my baby when the fox has already been in the house and the kids bedroom) killing them in an urban area will only allow another to take over the territory and I'm not going to keep this up all the time! I have set metal targets up in the garden today which I can hit from the window and door so I'm starting a campaign of harassment and annoyance for now... my wife says I have plenty experience!

any air rifle in the uk with a high enough power to humainly kill a fox would be required to be on a firearms licence.

should have also added to my last post marking your terratory helps alot so get out side and start peeing up the garden fence. no im not joking.

have you any idea how the fox got into the house.

Shotguns perfectly legal to own, should think about a silenced 410. 3 1/2 inch magnum using bb shot, start baiting only way ya do it once it's taking attach some heavy duty line to the bait then attach it to something strong in the house, DO NOT ATTACH IT TO YOURSELF the bastads are surprisingly strong you may laugh but it works got 3 foxes doing it.
