Exacty :sneaky2: where to???????

Normally they just end up on the kerb - for someone else to fall over, or parked on top of:lol::lol:

We've lettered houses warning of works and requesting access is available but often to no avail. The driver probably always parks there so has a right to move anything in their way:001_rolleyes::lol::lol:

Even more frustrating when it's police no parking cones with big sign boards up saying do not park and dates which you've had to pay for to be put up! Always some twit who didn't notice them!

Had 1 the opposite end a few weeks before Christmas, truck parked on road side and chipper running as ripping out a biggish conifer in the front garden and a woman comes and park right up against the back of the chipper and disappear into a house before I can say anything so could've feed chipper, saving grace is iv a turntable chipper but still made it awkward.

You could clearly see it was a work area. I think the op was clearly stating not to underestimate the stupidity & resourcefulness of the general public.

You know the saying, "never underestimate the resourcefulness of complete idiots". I think it applies here  Some friends of my wife were moving house and applied for a temporary restriction on parking which someone chose to ignore. They phoned the police and the car was lifted onto a transporter and moved to a compound causing hassle and expense for the owner.

Leaving the argument mid thread to one side... i'd have to agree regarding the public.. most of the time joe public has no clue regarding contractors and are only interested in claiming a parking spot/or getting past regardless of machinery/barriers in the way. I recall an incident where one of my lads was strimming a grass verge, all hi-vized up, noisy machine, a car pulled up near him, before he could shut the strimmer down he popped one of the car windows..... needless to say it was our fault.....

Ive had grandparents dangle toddlers inside the hopper of a 10" chipper running full tilt so they could see the big Munchy machine working!

I've had rd planing guys sneak past workers to sit on the hopper of a running 10" chipper to try and prove we were not safe, the guy was in a shirt and tie!:sneaky2:

I couldn't believe human beings when I first started doing city tree work, the abuse was unbelievable and the selfishness was staggering!

And this was never in a deprived area, the more expensive the postcode the worse it was!

I don't answer to ' you there ' :laugh1:
