Also worth adding, and I'm sure most would agree, the quality and sharpness of the chain contribute equally to the impressiveness of speed of cut as much as power of engine. Can't have one without the other.(well, you can but it's a bit pointless)

Got stickers on all mine even though they were done pre sticker days . Had tem sent to me on request . The sticker is good for another 100 rpm .:001_smile:

Hi Spud

I'm just wondering if it's worth doing anything to improve the power of a Stihl 029. I have a small saw and a big one for milling with and could do with the middle sized one having more power to get through bigger logs quicker and easier, without forking out on a new saw. I understand it's not a high spec saw, but got it from my old man and free is good!
