You ought to try searching for the numerous threads on the toppers, you should find everything you need there.

 

The short version is that they are both good saws, the husky is a bit more powerful, but the stihl has had more time to be tried and tested.

 

I find my 201 to be a decent reliable climbing saw.

why you say the 540 i have heard nothing but good things like if i could find a brand new ms 200 i would get that but there to hard to get

 

Tried a 540, brand new engine (I was the first to run it) and it smoked my 200t!
