Gransfors Bruks axes are not only superb tools

They are a thing of beauty

And once your boyfriend has finished splitting his pile of logs he will raise his gransfors above his head and howl at the sky! (might just be me)

im 6"4"tall and could do that with a 66 as i weigh 18 stone.......:thumbup:..

I have the gransfors splitting axe, lovely well made piece of kit. The shaft is quite short ( no comments please) which means you can build up some nice speed in the swing. Much prefer it to my long splitting maul.

Take it I'm the only one who uses a wee wood grenade and a club hammer !! eye protection as well !!! en166 and all that .

I have been looking at the Ochsenkopf Rotband Plus Splitting Axe, any thoughts on this. From Clarks.

 

Or the Helko Vario 2000 1.5kg Splitting Axe from Gustharts.

 

Gransfors would make a lovely present though.
