Who uses what brand chainsaw file and how do you find them?

As time goes on I find Oregon files aren't what they used to be and was wandering if its just me :confused1: I even clean them after every use now to try get a bit more life out of them.

I tend to use stihl or Oregon chain which is quite hard and holds a good edge so prob kills files a bit quicker but wandering if its worth changing brands if theres better quality available?

I've heard from another member that the vallorbe (sp) files last much better than stihl ones. Can't give much feedback but the flat file he gave me months ago is still going strong.

vallorbe, they make oregon files toooo,

i prefer oregon, used them for yrs, a finer cut:thumbup1: ,stihl are too brittle & are a caurse cut ,

Put them back in the tool box to annoy myself later when I can't find a decent one!
