Well where is this one day refresher advertised id like the info for future :)

Are there any trainers in the south east that can back this or is it just forum talk ?.

I'm just going by what I was told, but I'm in West Midlands, so maybe my trainer is different

I am not a member so I don't expect them to do anything for me, are you a member?

I do ISA one year then AA the next as I wont pay for both in the one year. ISA this year, BUT if AA Teccie is successful in stopping the HSE introducing mandatory refresher/update training for the arb industry I'll stick with the AA until my treework days are over and maybe beyond if I still have a mild interest in trees.

In fact, why dont we all join the AA for life if AA Teccie's negotiations are successful, think of the income stream the AA would have for the next 50 years if we all agreed to join pending AA Teccie's successful negotiations with the HSE

I'm not sure if this will help but I have recently done a couple of one day refresher training days for some guys near me. The feed back was good considering they were contractually obliged to do it and a little narked. Anyway we had a good day each time in a relaxed and beautiful woodland. It cost them my day rate divided by four plus a little for admin. They got a simple certificate with my lantra instructer code and nptc assessor number on it satisfied all concerned. Happy days.

That sounds like a fairer rate, assuming your date rate isnt huge. :thumbup1:

what are they going to do if you dont do a refresher ,put you in prison, fine you ???whats the worst they could do ???

Nag and make you feel bad as you go about your outlaw activities. Good thing is after a while you dont care anymore and shrug it off. Just like those of ill repute that get frequent mentions in the Somebody has nicked my......... threads.

And it works, the law can no longer affect you. Ignoring NPTC is the path to the dark side.
