I burn anything I know or suspect will combust.

I really hate taking the Rubbish out and try to burn it if possible.Tin Cans take a while to break down, but anything burns if its hot enough.

Chipboard burns REALLY well, with stonking calorific value.

Proper Polystyrene is also very good for kindling.

I would avoid Wavin sewer pipe though.

The fumes from it, as I have reason to know, are pretty toxic.

I also finally persuaded Senior Managment NOT to put the plastic liner from the bathroom bin in unchecked.

Not that difficult seeing as she had quite a bit of dusting to do after the aerosol assisted contents of the grate exited the stove past my ears.

You may well be able to burn some of these nasties without ruining your flue or stove but you will be releasing a lot of pollutants into the atmosphere for all of us to breath. When this sort of material is burnt in incinerators for electrical plants the temperatures are a lot higher and I think the exiting gases are filtered to avoid atmospheric pollution.
