Well I had an interesting phone call off my dealer today letting me know that he has been at Husqvarna and they have sorted the problem with the chain brake band snapping and they have also brought out a new starter casing that has been re designed so fingers crossed that it will solve the issues I have had. Watch this space, I may have a MS 362 to sell if the 560 is sorted. lOL!!

I'm loving my 560 so far. It's a tree eating chip-blizzard!

I did snap a chain brake band a couple of weeks ago, but my dealer (DM Chainsaws in West Sussex) sent one out to me for the next day which was great.

Starting hasn't been a problem at all. I hadn't been using the decomp button as it seemed to start easier without. Having read Stubby's advice I started using it again, and it's starting as easily as my 346.

I have also had 2 chain brake bands snap on a 550xp, great saw! but they just need to sort out a few niggles.

I don't know if its cos I am a sad old git .. but I very rarely use the chain brake . In fact the only time I use one is if I am sending a running saw up the tree and the climber has to pull it up and grab it . I am 60 this birthday and never used a brake before I got my tickets , used one as I remember to pass said tickets and then never since . I know people will go into one about HSE but I have never felt the need . I can't understand how people can rev a saw flat out and snap the brake several times first thing in the morning ! just to see if it works . Drives me nuts . Mechanical sympathy you see . Any way as a result I think I have only changed a brake band about 3 times in my life ! . If the saw is idling properly that does me . Putting my tin hat on now !:001_huh:

I must admit I don't use the chainbrake as much as I should if I were to work "by the book". I use it if I feel I need to, which is more often than not during an arb type job rather than in the woods. I'm not as old, but started out working along side guys who were of the older generation so picked up habits from them. So fr can only remember eer replacing two brake bands on saws of my own, and one for someone else.
