WoodED

Recommended Posts

we dug out a stump about 2 foot wider than that a couple of years ago, half a day digging a 4 foot deep trench all around it with a 1.5ton mini digger half a day digging trenches underneath it then a high lift jack under a stump of a root to lift it up and break the suction of the soil and up it popped:thumbup:

I then had to split it in 2 with an044 and wedges to lighten it enough for the digger to be able to lift:001_cool:

Big elm day today. 4ft.

In a wood, but with a river behind. Climbed to take the back weight off and winched over. The bottom right collapsed as it went over, you can see why. Not a lot of holding wood left, so it went fairly sideways.

Absolutely covered in burrs. It was like climbing a rock face.

so does 15 men doing 3 hours work get billed as 15 man days?

thats bad if the case irrelevant of who pays for it.

My calculations make it 4 hours but that aside, the men should certainly get paid a full day as I expect they have been on site since around 8am.
