council call-out 2.40 on Friday, strong north gusts were last straw for huge old beech.

it broke at base and brought down adjacent huge beech with it across busy national road.

Very very  lucky nobody killed .

we were about 40 minutes away so no time to bring Valtra. We just about got the tricky stuff and one lane open before dark. Road fully cleared and open around 6.30.

Jcb with 4in1 bucket and helpful sensible driver took most of the hardship out it.
