I would rather work for a good company for less money than a poor company for more

think of what the company can do to further your development.

I have lads offering to work for nowt on proper jobs just for the experience.

 

realistically I would have a much easier more productive day where I earn more money paying a experienced guy a bit more than a newby £70 a day

 

thats a good point, but if i was working for a bad company that was butchering trees i would probably try and leave without offending anyone. the company im grounding for at the minute are good and i worked for them for free for a long time then went on to a half wage untill i was worth the full whack!

5-6 years ago i done a 10week course, straight out of it with 5 job offers, first job was £80 a day on the books, but in under 2 years, (at a different firm by then) £130 a day on the books full holiday, kit, ect with a fantastic company

 

130 is a brilliant rate!

i did the 10 week course 3 years ago, within a couple of months i was getting £90 a day self employed, i have since gone down to £85 to go on the books.

it all depends on so many variables.
