The Canadians are nesting, well one pair are. Whooper swans are thinking about it and most of the mallards are out nesting somewhere around the estate. Will put up some photos when things get going. The drakes are all grouped together waiting with bated breath......

Heard cuckoo yesterday started at 6.00 and didn't stop till sun set. 

Spot on timing.

 

The Cuckoo arrives in April

she sings her song in May

she changes her tune In

the month of June

in July she flies away

 

Not heard one yet this year.
