Chucking it down here in Essex until about 8 according to Met Office - typical as it’s our first day of grass cutting for 3 weeks due to lack of rain and some lawns turning brown/not growing. Had a few requests for cuts so got 12 lined up today - must all be done as back on hedges etc rest of week

Proper tanked it down here last night, overflowing gutters after 5 minutes rain, blue skies now but the ground is still soaked

Could do with some serious rain here

Seems a shame to say it, but my trees need water

Hawt Hawt Hawt,

Here in Nth. Co. Antrim, started on Thursday past, then sweltering hot Fri, Sat, and today. Too hot to be pleasent if doing much.

Its a bad job when an Ulsterman bees looking for a bit of shade.

The measure of the heat, Senior Management washed out a 3" thick home made 100% wool rug yesterday mid morning, I hung it out to dry, moving and turning it bytimes during the day, then brought it into the still roasting with all windows and door open living room at 22:00, when to all intents and purposes it was already dry,

FFS! That is HOT.

This week took it out of me. I came down with heat exhaustion yesterday, felt like gravity was three times heavier, temperature and diarrhea. Never felt fatigue that bad. I am feeling much better now though and hopefully back to it tomorrow. Take it easy out there guys.

I find a good cure for excess heat is a walk early in the day, drink plenty of liquids, and a car journey with the wife driving late evening.

so,, that's a walk to the pub, drink all day, and phone the missus at 11.45 for a lift home.

Torrential rain , thunder and lightening . Left the sunshine roof open in my truck ( DHO ) . Luckily the rain set the alarm off so it only half filled with water ! 🙂
