Bloody me today with my Silky. swung out to the tips on a pine to remove some deadwood, didnt bother with strop saw slipped deep gash to finger n 2hours in A&E no lasting damage but could have been alot worse.oh n a bruised arse where i slammed into the trunk after i let go of branch..

own stupid fault all for sake of couple of seconds to strop in and get better work position.

a friends fell out of an oak tree, farmer got ambulance they had to carry him over two fields just to get to the road, busted spleen busted hand/nose and died on the operating table but was lucky, he still climbs but it slowed him down for a while.

one very lucky guy

Ok, after about the fifth time of reading I think you mean he clinically died and was revived, either that or, well, as Skyhuck says....

had this thread in mind today while cutting a thick 25ft tall holly.

 

do you all cut using right and left hands? i was thinking this when my arms were crossed and switched hands.

 

i had a 3ft piece of rope on my silky, so as soon as i needed to grab the branch (to stop it falling into neighbouring property) i could just throw it over the next branch, made it much easier than in and out of the scabbard.

 

funny that ive just got a little bungee for mine, no springy enough to bounce back and cut anything, im wondering if its going to get caught much... time will tell

 

A few of people attach there silkys to harness i reckon
