A few of people attach there silkys to harness i reckon

Could be painful that if you went to throw it and it sprung back at you!:scared1:

had this thread in mind today while cutting a thick 25ft tall holly.

do you all cut using right and left hands? i was thinking this when my arms were crossed and switched hands.

i had a 3ft piece of rope on my silky, so as soon as i needed to grab the branch (to stop it falling into neighbouring property) i could just throw it over the next branch, made it much easier than in and out of the scabbard.

Always swap hands as crossing is when the accidents happen! Although I assume you mean with a chainsaw not a silky.

Its a line we use a lot at work ever since a client commented on the fact that we where armed with loppers not chainsaws.....to which the reply was "Chainsaws for show......loppers for a pro". It just kind of works in all situations....."Transits for show....Ivecos for a pro" and so forth.

not got enough bounce bro even at full stretch :thumbup1:

I hate sawpods too, find the catch every bit of epicormic, strop and climbing line catches it, just generally a pain.

Ive looped my silky belt holder clip through my harness and zip tied it on, saw and scabbard just clip on and off, suits me right!
