People dont realise what consequences these actions have for the small businessman, often sending alot of them under.

So we do nothing then Dave and go out of business because we cant afford to put fuel in trucks/plant and so on, theres only so much we can pass on to the customer before they say we,ll have to leave the job for know has we cant afford to have it done at that price.

Its difficult, but maybe more direct action against the politicians who make the decisions, not violent but just to cause them inconvenience. During the last blockade I owned three petrol stations and lost around 250k from my cash flow and despite the fact that we had nothing to sell and closed during most of it I still paid the staff so that they would not suffer from the actions which were totally out of their control......... unlike you tight tree surgeons

Very high water content in tescos. A very good diesel engineers firm in Helston, cornwall, were telling me how much they love tescos fuel..........as it brings them the majority of their work through the damage it causes to cars!!

i'm pretty sure this is just tesco bashin, morrisons fuel is oft a penny cheaper than tescos but i've never heard a word against them.

At the Warwickshire fuel depot all the tankers and trains fill up from the same pot. Be they Shell, BP, Tesco et al. The only difference is that they can choose whichever additives they want to be mixed as the tanker's filled.

All diesel has some water in it. If it's excessive it must be in the filling station's own tanks.

I prefer the idea of people not buying from one or two of the big oil companies such as BP and Texaco which in short would force them to drop their prices thus forcing competition companies to lower theirs too. But this can only happen if it is carried out by the masses.
