It's a little unfair to compare the New Petzl Vent Helmet to an old Stein Helmet. The new Stein Helmet has a much greater air flow and with the inner liners being replaceable it means you can keep it cleaner. Plus the helmet does not need drilling to fit the ear defenders. It comes with one pre made hole from the factory which has a plastic plug in it if you do not need ear defenders. At the end of the day both helmets are great but as with other PPE it is personnel choice as one may fit better than the other. People have different shape heads so may find one sits better than the other.

One thing i've always loved about the Echo saws is the fact they are fitted with a proper Air Filter. I'll try and post some pictures of the new CS610 soon. Plus look out for the New CS550 coming out in the Summer. It should be a great MS261 alternative.

If you are that pleased with the CS600 you should try the new CS610 that has just arrived. Its about 15% up on torque compared to the CS600. A great altenative to the MS362

Keeping things in perspective as you say Rupe. You can't compare any of those three items. It all comes down to the type of work you as a tree surgeon carries out. Your GRCS may be your prefered tool, due to your type of work. But to another guy he may never need the abilitys that a GRCS gives. On the other hand he may need the features of the Arb-Trolly on a daily basis, so to him the Arb-Trolly becomes a no brainer. And like wise for a Quad. As Theocus said thats the beauty of the Arb World, so much kit.

You will find that the rotating chute does not clear the through put of chipping as well, especially on conifer.

So with the arrival of the New Stihl MS201T in June/July, who is going to go for the new saw and who on the other hand is going to buy up the old trusted MS200T before they run out.

The Honda HRH536QX is by far the Best Contractors tool available. Yes it's expensive, but will serve you well.

Greg My hat goes of to you. The ArbAid Kit is IMO a Fantastic peice of equipment and should be carried in all Arb Trucks up and down the country. I wish you all the success you deserve. I just hope people look past the cost and look at the life saving potential that this box could offer an employee or employer on site. Ian

I prefer the idea of people not buying from one or two of the big oil companies such as BP and Texaco which in short would force them to drop their prices thus forcing competition companies to lower theirs too. But this can only happen if it is carried out by the masses.

Just try to be aware of the import duty on each item as they can range anything from 2%-12% and then the VAT on top. This is just so you don't fall of your chair when you get a call from your carrier:001_smile:

Completly agree Les The other factor to keep in mind is that with new engine developments with in our industry Stihl and other manufacturers are already talking about the use of Laptops and some very expensive software to keep Saws tuned correctly. This is where factory trained mechanics will be so valuble to Dealers, and this sort of mechanic will not come cheap.

Their are 2 pairs of trousers approved by Network Rail. The first are the APC Class 2 Trousers which are issued to all Network Rail Ground Staff and second are the New Stretch-Air Class 2 Trousers issued to Climbers. Both Trousers meet EN471 and are GO/RT Certified As a point the Material Used in the Orange trousers is different to the material used in the origional Yellow stretch-airs. Since the introduction of Hi-Viz Stretch trousers, new and more durable fabrics have become available to Stretch-Air to make the trousers better. Hope this Helps
