Good job on the walnut Tom, I saw your bumble bee landy at jonesies but wasn't sure where you were, would have been good to meet up and talk about tony!

Cheers mate!!

Ah yeah I saw ya there didn't get chance to chat! Did ya camp? I was in the trees at the bottom of that field in ma hammock:D

Nice work Tom.

It would have freaked me out a bit climbing past some of those pruning cuts Tone did in 1957.

Cheers man

A new one on me! Reduction of a lawsons cypress! yep for real, never done a reduction on one other than hedge clipping! she was a brute though, so not really a typical Lawsonia! Client wanted to retain, some ground shrinkage to both houses fell not an option.

I let Our young gun Tom do a fairly substantial walnut today, just to see what the lad can do when allowed to get on with it. I was expecting this to be a little slower, and maybe a little sparse, I would now feel happy putting tom up just about anything reduction wise.

Tom, you can be proud of yourself mate, I know guys twice your age and experience level that could not have done as good a job, and would take longer about it too!

fair play mate, as far as im concerned your arb enough for me, 10 out of 10:thumbup1:

Really Nice job on the cypress , although it looks like it has alopecia I can really appreciate the effort that took .. Just not used to seeing it done on cypress .. I still out of all the species of trees i lovingly prune still smash them with a hedge cutter and top.. Would love to see a photo in a few years time.

It won't be there Matty.

Utterly pointless Tone.

Good skills though, and I like the way it looks now....

I agree, that will slowly turn a loverly shade of brown,IMO.

An interesting way of doing it.

I'd like to see that survive- this dry spell may not help especially if it gets windy.

When you work outside the box you risk ridicule but someones got to.

We've probably got to wait till next spring to see the outcome of this.
