Have to think about tracks vs wheels, I think the wheels make less mess of grass but the chinese ones I've seen have been tracked.

@Mick Dempsey @Joe Newton any anyone else who uses one/has experience of these machines: 

Which brand/type would you recommend? It’s for a large amount of resilience utility work, so would be for moving/stacking timber and moving brash. 
Key requirements would be sub 1t weight, capacity to run a grab (and maybe a mulcher in future), ideally go up ramps into my 4x4 tipper to save on additional trailer. 
 

Id be looking 2nd hand, I know you can get good finance deals but I’d rather buy good quality used, outright.

I don’t own a skidsteer but apart from Vermeer, I’ve heard good things about  Ditch Witch. 
 

Can I ask what is resilience utility?

Ditch Witch will all be way over a tonne Mick.

They are an altogether bigger machine than the mini skids.

 

Cast Worky Quad and Sherpa are both good, but won’t have the flow rate to run a flail effectively.

They do a pedestrian machine. MT100? You don’t see many of them here and I think they’re on the old fashioned (ish) control pattern.

I fancy more room in my van to finish work in 1 day instead of 2, and logs that small I lift by hand  that actually what will save from visiting chiropractors 😘
