People walking through your jobsite

I've had it many times. Signs out, brash stacked across the pavement, cones and people still trying to force there way through the tiniest gap in the pavemement. People are just selfish, dumb f**ks. Once, a guy, who was on his phone, walk right into the tree cutting sign and nearly tripped over. I mean, how bloody blind can a person be who actually can see.

About 20 years ago I was up an ash tree over the road, with stop/go sign traffic control, with a highways permit. An idiot in a big flash merc ignored the stop sign and kept on going. I was so tempted to just carry on cutting, but gave in to the urge. WTF to the power on N?

Whenever we have TM in place I pay/charge the customer the extra cost for an operative to remain on site - independent witness and less hassle if lights play up.

As a rule I have found posties to be the worst offenders, can't let the mail be one minute late.

French oldiewonks have a habit of ignoring signs, tape, barriers and groundies madly gesticulating.

They will stand under the veritable sword of Damocles, squint up and say without fail " "beaucoup boulot" (alot of work)

I wonder if they ever do this to other businesses?

It’s always been an issue - never better, never worse.

One tip I will share for stopping pedestrians is the magic branch. Put up a barrier, string some tape across and they will snap it, however if you put a reasonable sized branch or two in front of said barrier 9 times out of 10 it will stop them in there tracks. The simple fact is that the lazy retards do not like lifting there feet and stepping over stuff - just try it, you will see what I mean

Sage advice Pete.

Another tip is if working in the street always leave a few branches on the ground behind the chipper at all times.

Saves coming out the garden to find some moron has parked a foot behind the hopper and buggered off shopping for 3 hours.

Umarell (Italian spelling of the Bolognese Emilian word umarèl, Emilian pronunciation: [umaˈrɛːl]; plural umarî) are men of retirement age who spend their time watching construction sites, especially roadworks – stereotypically with hands clasped behind their back and offering unwanted advice to the workers.

I read about that somewhere, they’re totally unashamed as well.

Everyone needs a hobby I guess.
