Does anyone know why they’ve all of a sudden shut up shop. Have dealt with them quite a lot and always had a good experience. Will be looking for some to sharpen my blades now if anyone has any recommendations.

Simply put, they cannot afford to keep trading! This is a very odd industry (tree work), a tree bloke is clothed in the best part of a grands worth of kit, a chipper can be £30/40K, a truck another £50k, the cost of training and retraining, insurance, tools to carry out the work etc yet is under valued by the public and those wanting the work. A plumber will get £50k a year and wears a pair of £30 Scruffs.......

That's sad news as bought quite a few bits off them for chippers, mainly because they delivered next day or 2 not like other's a week.

Maybe price of sweets have got to high for them. 😃

I know there have been some not so positive comments about Northern Arb Supplies, but I have never had an issue with the other part of the business, Saturn knives when my chipper blades go in by courier for sharpening.

I’d value my toilet flushing over my trees being pruned 🤣
