Bless her - she aint the problem. Bit of a mouthpiece fr the kids. Who Will bear the brunt.

Scuba diving - reef death is a verified fact, as reefs provide a huge food source its a critical time. Ice floe edges are a massive draw fr fish, as these get smallerer, fish stocks will reduce and Polar bears go brown.... Eventually. K

I don't know why she is over here banging her drum.

We have got the green message loud and clear.

She'd be better off heading over to India, China or the USA wouldn't she?

Do you think we have? Genuine question

I generally think we have mate.

I'm not saying we are necessarily doing everything right yet, but we are certainly taking steps.

I've even stopped burning tyres.

Unfortunately a lot of other countries just don't seem to care.

I hear you Khriss, it won’t happen overnight, for sure.

The problem is what difference can our pisspotical little country make?

It’s got to be a global thing, and the big players aren’t in the game yet.

What will happen when the West reaches net zero, and the East is still emitting record breaking levels every year? We abandon fossil fuel, which reduces world demand, price dropps and the East and Africa, with their growing middle class can increasingly afford to use it? They don't have the same obedient liberal values as we do in the affluent West. You think every African/Asian doesn't aspire to owning an car? Having central heating etc? We *might* be able to eventually afford EVs but they never will. And to boot, if we do go all EV, there will be a world glut of cheaper-than-chips used petrol and diesel vehicles, which will make their dream achievable. Are we going to deny them the experience of mass middle classness that we once enjoyed? If so, how?

It’s a bit like picking up your dog shit, start by picking up your own dog shit, provide bins and bags so that others have less of an excuse to not pick up theirs. Fine and ostracize those who don’t.

Do all that and they’ll be a lot less on the streets.

Just saying that Chinese bloke doesn’t pick up his dog’s shit so I won’t is a lazy argument.
