Its obviously a personal thing but in 1964 I had never head anything so good . I went strait out and bought the first single ( Please please me I think ) All we had was Bill Hayle and the Comets or some such . The Beatles were so different and new . All the raw early stuff , to me at the time was superb . People to this day are still trying to work out the notes in that opening chord to " A hard Days Night " . As time went on and they went  psychedelic I had moved on but the early stuff was outstanding of the time .

Don't let my wife hear that, he visited her in hospital when she was 16 when it was a two person band, transferred her affections to clapton after and she's off to town with the rest of the decrepit groupies when he does a gig at the albert hall.
