Shocked at the chemists!!!

I just got back from the pharmacy - I got to take some stuff to help with a busted lung. I got the txt to say they were ready and went up there to collect. Name/address usual thing and she plonked the box on the counter and walked away as I whipped out the phone to pay for them. "You were 60 the other day so everything is free from now onwards" was all she said over her shoulder!

 

I knew I had got to 60 but I never realised that proscriptions were free! I thought that happened at Government retirement age!!!

Lucky you didn’t go at about 11 o’clock because if it is anything like our local chemist it is full of fine looking fellas in for their Methadone.

I knew a policeman who used to get his snacks from the pharmacist on his beat - he reckoned that the shop emptied in about a minute when he walked in!

 

 

 

 

Up here we get them for free, always feels like I am stealing when they just give me stuff (hay fever tablets, paracetamol, and so on)

My mind boggles,,surely if you, we, are working we should pay for our scripts? I realise that will bring out the, dole fodder get them paid for, but honestly, how many of those people do you know?

I have a prescription to collect and I turn 60 in Feb, maybe i'll hang on a bit.

I can get mine free ( obviously ) . I get a regular supply of 400mg Ibuprofen and 500mg of Co-codamol . I only take one of each before bed but would not be able to sleep else .

Does the the co-codamol bung you up? It does me, I can’t take it because of that.

To a degree Mick but as I only take it in the evening I can usually force one out and after that its all systems go ! 🙂

You shouldn’t get ibruprofen on prescription.

The bastards still claim it at £9.65, but you get a pack at a supermarket for 40p.
