Flooded labour market?

Reskilling?

Drop in Inflation?

Ecologists begging ourside McDonalds?

Legal complications with compulsary purchase?

Ecological reparations?

Could we reroute it to make it further away ?.

But in all seriousness, I think with the amount that's been spent there might be a spike in offshore bank accounts.

Suspect that financially it won't be 'stop spending today' but more a decline over spending for the next few (25?) years so the legal stuff for compulsory purchases, if they have to they will, if they can cancel them they will. Inflation not so sure.

Ecologists I reckon can stick it out for a few more years yet 'mending' stuff

and I still have no desire to go to Birmingham quickly. Let the train take the strain, let me take a book.

i do believe that the land they compulsory purchased is still going to be held by the government so it is leaving a lot of homeowners with houses they cannot sell

Surely if it  has been the subject of a compulsory purchase, it already is sold?

I doubt that very much. reselling the land will be one way of funding the other announced projects.
