waterproof jacket - which is best?

Hey folks,

Due to our delightful winter weather it seems my old waterproof isnt so waterproof anymore, no real disgrace for it since its 9 yrs old now!

 

So what does everyone recommend, preferably goretex or equally breathable. quite long in the back so that when i bend over my back isnt immediatly bare (scary image i know).

Not Gore-Tex, but more waterproof than my North Face, which is, and half the price.

Ex army gore tex, £15 on ebay get 2 or 3 and rotate at dinner times etc!!

well i just bought one of these cutandclimb Arb Jacket | Grey and Orange and had it on all today, for both climbing and groundwork.....was raining all day and it kept me bone dry, so am pretty pleased so far!! just a case of seeing how long it lasts now.

 

i also had a stein jacket for a while which i was happy with...ripped it just the other day though hence the replacement

i was wearing a graghoppers jacket today 1/2 price in tk max and kept me dry despite brushing up against stuff and it is rally strong material havn't managed to tear it yet

on the same thort any one had any exerences with Stihl HiFlex Jacket or X-Fit Jacket are they worth the money?

Hiflex is good but expensive for what it is. I've got the stein which is roughly a third of the price and would recomend it to anyone. Don't know much about the Xfit. Is that Stihl's new one?
