The northern alabanian alps is a very poor region, its apparently the region most of the albanians come from -a  very mountainous and undeveloped region

 

Stunning region for a  visit I know someone who went there but still some  villages with no electricity horse & cart agriculture etc.

 

Peolpe don't want to live like a UK peasant from 1850.

 

Abit like how nearly all the USA italians arrived from rural poverty in the  south of italy.

That's my take too. If his Twitter opinion was in support of what the government said he'd be presenting as normal tonight, it's not about voicing an opinion but voicing the wrong one.

However, the latter is not practically possible, stopping the illegal crossings should be.

Has he been arrested? Threatened physically? Been chucked it of his home? Had all his forms of communication cut?

 

He’s free to continue saying and tweeting what he likes, just that he’s broken the contract he had with the BBC. So they took action.

 

No free speech has been stifled.

I think it's more about Gary Lineker being a self-important sanctimonious twat, who, because he regularly tops the BBC earnings lists for some unfathomable reason, thinks he is beyond the rules which apply to everyone else that they pay.

I think it is about gagging him. He'd be back on the telly tonight if he agrees to stop tweeting about a selective subjects.  As for his contract, I wouldn't know if he's broken it. If he has, why don't they let him go?

To say free speech hasn’t been stifled is up for debate, he broke the rules and that’s fair enough. It is funny how some commentators/presenters get away with it on the BBC mind.

 

Andrew Marr left because he couldn’t speak his mind. He’s now on commercial radio where he can give his point of view.
