It’s sad, Charles made a great speech, but was there any need to call the football off this weekend?

She loved a Saturday afternoon in front of of Sky Sports Saturday with Jeff Stelling!

Too far imo.

More likely to be watching the racing on channel 4!

Today's horse racing has been postponed until tomorrow, presumably so it doesn't clash with the accession pageantry.

It would be a terrible irony if horse racing had been cancelled in deference to the Queen when she was an avid race-goer herself who loved the sport more than any other and owned race horses.

It would be a neat ending if one of her horses was to run in the St Ledger tomorrow and win.

I agree.

Much though I get the show of respect it can go too far:  I reckon She'd be miffed to think that numerous people were suffering inconvenience in her name, especially those in the horse racing fraternity

There was quite a bit of turmoil on the Falcons' page yesterday regarding the choice that RFU made to stage matches today, general consensus seemed to be to keep calm and carry on. Close game mind.

They made a mistake cancelling the footy.
Would have been a chance for peeps to show their respect etc.
look at what happened this morning before the cricket.

I tend to agree Mick, I think Peter Crouch nailed it with his Tweet.

You’d probably never get both sets of fans belting out the National Anthem together to show their respect at a better time.

I see that Prince Charles is ill.

Oh, sorry, that is Prince Charles III.

Move along, nothing to see here.

That’s an old Jethro gag - timeless classic, great spot

Although, on a point of technicality - it’s King Charles III

😂😂😂😂

Personally, that’s enough for me.

Still blanket coverage on all the telly news channels.

There’s other news going on in the world.

Funeral is on the 19th we’ll come back to it then.
