Reading it again doesn’t make it any better.

 

The bit I ‘enjoyed’ most was where he only did two months as a freelance climber because he got all the difficult/dangerous jobs, couldn’t hack that so got a ‘proper’ job with an arb approved contractor.

 

Long live unregulated tree work, out of the grasp of twits like this.

That has de valued the word " proper " for me ! Edit .....substitute " twits " for " twats "

In my opinion both the publisher and author are equally irrelevant  as each other, zero time for either.

 

Standards in life and in any profession start and end with the individual. When the day gets tough, long and when he/she/they get tired does everything go out of the window or do standards remain the same?

 

Whilst I am one for accreditation, PC predictable responses are simply base and as I mentioned, predictable and annoying.

I would love to see an article written on how important freelance climbers are to keeping the whole industry going at present. 

 

When ever I work with one I always learn something new which I can then pass on. 

 

Due to it being slow at present I have been climbing for an aa approved recently. If it was not for the freelance climbers they would not be able to operate on a daily basis. 

 

The funny thing is apart from me all the other freelance guys were once employed by the firm and only left because they could not get a pay rise pass £120 on the books. 

 

They now charge up to £250 a day. 

 

So much for being paye. 

 

Yes there is a staff shortage but writing an article like that is not going to help.
