Try it you might like it. You can always come back. If it wasn’t for the kids being the age they are with school. I’d be off trying somewhere new again. I think I’d try America though as I went Far East working last time. To old to try and learn a language now.

I've been to Melbourne and Sydney before with him, I also went to Spain to visit him for a fortnight. I came home 2 years later. Not sure I'm up for another mission at the moment.

It's not a wish to own a home without a mortgage in a socialist country. As of Friday, we now own our own home in a socialist country without a mortgage.

That's not strictly true.

It's down to the way that it's reported. For instance, in the case of rape within marriage or relationship, each individual rape is recorded, whereas in most other countries it's only counted once.

Regardless, crime exists everywhere. Any one of us could point to any number of abhorent crimes to bolster our individual agendas. People are shit, certainly. It's why I'd rather live somewhere with a lower population.

J,

I do applaud your wish to rear your children multilingual btw. A serious advantage in modern life.

Also congratulation and health to enjoy your new home.

best wishes in your new life,

Marcus

I must admit, it’s a bit unfair in painting Sweden with the same brush as Malmo. It’s like saying England is as bad as London or Bradford.

I’m much happier in a rural setting. Im
not gonna get raped out here, no matter how much I try. [emoji6]

They still haven’t caught big foot yet ya know! And ya know what they about big feet! [emoji6] your gona be in a world of pain when he walks out the woods behind ya whilst your bent over ya wood splitter! How very apt that would be! 🤠[emoji16]

I feel you’ve started some sort of fan fiction gay porn here.

I can see why you’re called the Ratman. You’re like a Rat up his proverbial drainpipe.

Seems like it’s easier to visit the queen in person than the easily spooked Mark JJ. Always a bit sick when someone’s in town so I hear.

Harris by name, harass by nature. Nominative determination in action.

A few people on here have my number, they're welcome to call any time they like.

I believe a bigger issue with tidal is that you have slack water on average four times per day.

So while tides may be constant, it would take a series of them all along an area of coastline to provide anything approaching a practical supply.

There are numerous places around the UK where low and high water slack can be measured in mins, the Severn barrage has been spoken of for years but no progress. The current boom in wind farms is nothing short of a National disgrace, if people realised how virtually zero of the  structures being put up or vessels used to install are built here or crewed  by UK nationals they’d be shocked, billions being made by overseas yards and foreign energy companies with virtually no benefit to the UK workforce or taxpayers.

You have been to Sweden, right? If I was going to organise some sort of group sex thing, I'm not going to import some ugly bastard from Scotland!

The Scandis must come to the UK and think we're a country of trolls, truly. Tall, tanned, slim and usually blonde, I've already teased the missus that I'll be looking to take on a couple of extra Swedish wives :D

Kinnel J - even in (your) jest, comments like that are NEVER forgotten and NEVER forgiven.....

Even the wives and sweethearts (may they never meet) with the very best sense of humour will stab you in the eye with a bic for a comment like that....

You’ll have forgotten - quite naturally - as the decades fade into centuries....

She will NOT forget.....  EVER!

Same as our solar farm, German company own and installed it, apart from a couple of English people and a Romanian security guard the entire workforce was German.
But the whole installation was run so well it had to be admired, everyone knew what they had to do and got on with it, it was quite impressive to watch, at it's peak there was over a hundred workers on site.
