What to use for rakings

What do people use for raking up etc, I know the good old dumpy bag is probably he favoured weapon and we use them but the arse is soon out of em and we seem to fly through the bloody things.

 

Any ideas?

A bog standard plastic bin was always my favourite method. Can't get as much in obviously but a lot less faffing around and they last forever.

And a pair of leaf grabbers. I laughed when my lad said he wanted a set, but they really save some time.

On most jobs 2mx3m sheet on large jobs builds bag if loader to lift on to truck, just recently by on a couple of big garden jobs and burnt rakings on site.

I find the type you linked too flexible so prefer the all steel ones but you do need to stiffen the stupid attachment by welding a bit on to stop the flattened tube flexing. I have had mine for over twenty years and they used to laugh at me when I took them to domestic jobs.

I take a big wheelie bin along, it's light blue so obviously mine. My trailer is much lower than a transit though, I can see would be more of a pain into a truck with it.

A cheapo plastic snow shovel is also good for shifting leaves in lightweight debris in bulk, I mainly use one of these and a builders/ton bag

With a decent strong handle so you can chuck it up on your shoulder..
