I do a fair bit of sea fishing. I live 100m from a fjord and 1200m from a undersea cliff. We catch all sorts ,from Makrell to Salmon,Halibut and everything in-between.

I used to longline a fair bit from my Kayak but recently bough a 22 foot inshore fishing boat.

On the way up from fetching the boat I was fishing at 330m depth.Thats boring as all fluck pulling from that depth.

Done a bit of beach casting, enjoyed the casting technique, got up to over 150 yards .....well over the length of a football field but not had time to do it for years. Fairly amusing seeing other anglers running at the sea and giving it their all to make 50 yards and then wacking my own weight out 120 yards + with little effort.

Some times if bass fishing you want it in the surf , maybe 30 yards out .
