Crane and tractor on Block paving?

Has anyone experience using ground protection to protect block paving.

We have a big lime tree to remove that is surrounded by brand new block paving that we do NOT want to damage.

Would like to bring a 40 ton crane, tractor, trailer and 7.5ton trucks on site.

I little bit ironic as the installation on the paving  is what has knackered the tree. 

 

Added a pic to show how they "protected" this TPO tree during the construction. A demonstration as to what a waste of time your average AMS is as there was one done for the site but pretty sure the contractor never saw it.

Other than the usual plastic plant boards...🤷🏽‍♂️
Personally I’d get the client to sign a disclaimer waivering any damages to the driveway.
Otherwise the risk isn’t worth the job.

Not run on block paving, but i have run full size forwarders fully loaded across golf courses on a combination of ply board, plant mats and steel plate and never left a mark after multiple passes.

It can be done but it will cost. Contact a specialist got a quote and guarantee of  no damage then everyone covered. 

May have to tell clients to sit down with stiff drink first.

What is under the block paving?  Domestic driveway base is unlikely to support the weight of a crane.

I'd be lifting that manhole cover before putting a 40 ton crane on the job. Just my thoughts, before you drop in.

Steel road plates and a contract lift and a disclaimer from the client could be a whole world of trouble

Put two decent chimps in it and chog it down, it would be on the floor long before you decked out the job with mats and set up a crane.
