I do remember welding and painting most of them. As a time served panel beater in a former life, most of them with Scottish winter salt were uneconomic wrecks after 7 years. As has been mentioned, emotions tend to trump actual worth,- although having something that doesn’t require paying road tax or mot-ing is nice.

My brother had a fizzer brand new, cost him £199 with 1 years tax and insurance. He did have a look at getting one a few years back... until he found out what sort of money they are making.
